Default desktop/bb time discrepancy after DST patch

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Guys

Long time lurker first time poster. We've recently applied DST patch and are having issue with it. Our current environment is Exchange 2003/SP2 + DST patches+ cdo patches, BES 4 SP6 + OS patch + CDO patch. I've rolled out the DST fix to a few Blackberry devices. All of our workstations (running Outlook 2003) are patched with DST patches from Microsoft. Here's the problem:

*When a calendar appointment is created on the desktop, the appointment shows up fine on desktop as well as the Blackberry device.

*On the other hand, I created an appointment on 2/27 on the Blackberry to occur everyday from 2pm-3pm. When I look at the appointment on the desktop, 2/27-3/10 would show up fine at 2pm-3pm but starting 3/11-3/31 it shows up as 3pm-4pm. I looked at the appointment time on the Blackberry, the appointment shows up as 2pm-3pm all the way.

I don't know what's going on. Can someone point me to the right direction? I tried this on different models of BB and different computer/user but same problem. Thanks

Same problem I am having.... Everything seems patched, Calender items created in outlook are showing up correct in OWA and in the Blackberry, but when I go to schedule an appointment between 3/11-3/31 on the blackberry, it shows up one hour ahead in outlook.

I posted the same question about 15 minutes ago.

You probably have but just thought I would ask - have you run the Exchange Calendar Tool against your Exchange Server after applying the patch

Domino problem...I created a calendar entry in Notes for March 12 at 8AM, it shows on the blackberry as 9AM! The device is a 7130c, that has the latest OS, and the DST patch installed. The BES is 4.1.3, upgraded last night.

I have resolved the problem and posted on another thread. Basically, I applied the new cdo.dll update on the BES server but the new cdo.dll didn't register properly. I had to register the new cdo.dll. All is well now. Thanks

Mine is testing okay. In addition to what you have listed above, our Domino admins ran an "agent" against user's mailfiles regarding the DST issue. Sorry I don't have more information on this, I admin BES and pushed the Windows DST patch but I don't admin the Domino mail servers.
