Default Accessories for the Bold 9700

Please Login to Remove!

Hi - I just got my Bold 9700 yesterday and I already love it! I switched from the Storm 2 and I am so glad I did. Now I just want to get a few accessories for it like a protective case and maybe a charging dock. Does anyone have recommendations on what case to get?

I want something that is not too bulky but yet will protect the phone from scratches. I am a girl so I don't need the belt attachment and all that.

Can you recommend any?

THX

Default Otter

Just got my 9700. Need a case I can slip in a pocket. Just bought this BlackBerry Bold 9700 Cases // BlackBerry Bold 9700 Commuter Case // OtterBox.com Hasn't arrived yet, but seems to get high marks. Try eBay. CG

Blackberry makes a nice Charging pod for the 9700. I like it as I don't have to plug anything into the USB port. I just drop the phone into the pod. Small and light enough I take it on trips with me as well. Do a search on Amazon for 9700 Charing Pod and you will find a number of vendors that are cheaper than the BlackBerry Suggested price of $39.

For cases, I am very partial to Rim BlackBerry Bold 9700 Cases by Beyza Cases | Leather PDA Cases, Smartphone Cases, iPod Cases, iPhone Cases | Leather Case and Sleeve . Seems they have taken the slimLINE case for the 9700 I use off the web site. But when I ordered, they were low on stock on all leather types. Should have them back on the site soon. I've used these cases in my pocket for a while now and love them. You can see the slimLINE cases on the link to the 9000. I have heard others saying the 8900 cases work well with the 9700. A bit tight. But they do stretch a little bit.

I use eforcity.com for most all my after market stuff... Even if ATT has a sale, they can't match the prices.

Default Had otterbox

I had an otterbox on my old 8900 and because it was sooo enclosed and so water protective (waterproof)...it made ECHOES on my phone calls. It was nuts...I had to stop using it.

I have a new 9700 and use a clear hardshell cover now that slips off if you drop it and it looks pretty cool too. $7... I bought it off ebay:
here is a link:
SMOKE HARD CASE COVER FOR BLACKBERRY 9700 BOLD 2 - eBay (item 170409422507 end time Dec-19-09 23:15:34 PST)

I'm not pushing that seller...you can buy almost any vinyl hard plastic case and they are CHEAP. My otterbox was expensive and sits in a drawer unused.

This one is pretty cool, fit is good (left side does look very very slightly loose for picky guys) with a firm feel, cut-outs for everything. Doesn't stick in your pocket or attract lint, yet grips when you put it on a smooth surface like glass or a table top. My guess though, is the white version will turn yellow after some time.

ive been looking for some case like that L3stat, its kind of like a hard silicone case... maybe they might sell em at a kiosk or something. i prefer not to buy online anymore because ive got credit/check card fraud twice. so i rather just buy one on the spot.
