Hi
I own a blackberry curve 8310 from at&t.
[sorry to start a new thread but,] i saw that on blackberry.com they have released for update the 4.5 os. so i
a- plugged in my device with the usb cable
b- installed the 4.2 desktop software that came with my device
c- hit update.

it said that i had the latest version avaliable. I am confused.
Does anyone know why this is happening since blackberry itself released an update yet i cant download it? help!!

also, if i download that new desktop software,
it will be legal and not be messing up my warranty if the os works since its from blackberry correct?

My bad I read your post wrong. Did you download the OS from RIM because I can't find the AT&T version of OS 4.5. But here is one. http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

You can use any DM with any BB, they all come from RIM. You can also use any OS that is made for your BB version, 8310. Just follow the instructions.

ATT has not OFFICIALLY released 4.5 as yet. That upgrade page is PIN based and if you are an ATT customer, you will get that message. It will upgrade ONLY for those carriers that have approved 4.5. Plenty of tips here to upgrade using 4.5 from another carrier.
