Default "Enable HTML Email -> Yes" = HUGE text size when receiving plain text emails!

Please Login to Remove!

So I've read of a lot of people having this issue... when an HTML email comes in the text is so large anyone within a 10 foot radius can read what you're reading.

I have this issue as well. It happens almost 85% of the time. And it seems like a stupid problem to have.

EDIT: I first thought this was an HTML email issue... Actually, it seems to happen only to emails containing NON-html text. ie: when a friend of mine sends an email saying "hey... are we still on for tonight?". The text is HUGE. Makes no sense. Come to think of it... almost every "plain text" email I've received has come in with HUGE text.
\EDIT

To temporarily alleviate the problem, while I'm viewing the email I simply hit the Menu button, and select "get plain text". And the text will return to the default size.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I looked but couldn't find any settings to adjust on the Storm in regards to how it renders incoming HTML emails, nor in BIS in regards to how BIS receives or sends out HTML emails. I was hoping there would be a menu somewhere where you could set the incoming font/size of HTML emails (or something like that).

Me too. Kind of annoying. But it doesn't happen every time.

Have you noticed that it only happens if the message is coming from another Blackberry? Seems to be the case with me. For example if I get an e-mail from a T-Mobile BB - it comes with a huge font...but when someone replies from a desktop, still in plain text, font is all back to normal.

I've noticed that plain text emails sent via Gmail (friends emailing me from their Gmail account... not sure if they were sending via web or BB though) all come in with huge font. When plain text emails are sent from other email providers (aol.com, comcast.net, etc) the text size is normal.

Looks like this is a Gmail issue? wtf.

You're right. I just noticed this. So it seems for me, at least:

1) Messages from another BB that are e-mail plain text, get huge font.
2) Messages from GMail in plain text, get huge font.

I'm not alone! This is annoying indeed. I'm not old enough for this font... Maybe our BB's are telling us something...

Let's hope this will be resolved with the next update. Furthermore, let's hope the next update will be relatively soon.

I also get it from @gmail accounts.

I also noticed that an @comcast person whose emails look fine did a "reply all" to an @gmail account. I was part of the reply all list and the @comcast came in huge text with the original @gmail message quoted.

Until a fix is released. Why not use gmail for mobile.
Google Mobile - Gmail

It offers full sync with your gmail inbox.
