I am running this code in simulator and it is throwing controlled access exception

FileConnection fc = null;
boolean _created = false;

try
{
fc=(FileConnection)Connector.open("file:///SDCard/testFolder/test.txt",Connector.READ_WRITE);
fc.create();
}catch(Exception e)
{}

You need to set the application permissions to allow file access.
