Default Still not pairing

Hi-

I have a new 2008 Land Rover LR2 and I have downloaded the Bluetooth Pairing Helper applet onto my BlackBerry Pearl and I still cannot get them to pair up. I am running the latest firmware for the phone (4.2.1.96).

Using the helper app I can get it so the vehicle finds the phone and prompts me to enter in the code, but everytime I enter in the code the vehicle says Pairing Failed. I have tried several times, each time the code changes.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Edd

Arrow

P.S. When you put in the code are you pressing the the 2 keys for the numbers first? So numbers not letters appear?

Thanks. I will take a look at that site. Yeah, that was what I thought the first time it failed, but after that I made sure NUM lock was enabled when I entered in the code.

Unfortunately that link was where I found the blue tooth helper app.. I get through step 9 and then things stop working. IE I get prompted to enter in the code. The phone seems to accept the value and store it is "MyCar", but the vehicle displays "Pairing Failed. Make sure bluetooth is enabled.". Or something very simular to that message.

Very frustrating to have a good phone and not be able to pair with it, but my wife has an old RAZR and it had zero issue pairing.

On your BB options make sure that you have the following set;

Discoverable: yes
Allow outgoing calls: Always
Address Book Transfer: All entries

See if this helps.

No help here - won't install on anything earlier than handheld software 4.2

Latest release for 7290 seems to be 4.1 ..... ?

Default Help

Hi everybody!

I have tried to pair a BB 8100 Pearl v4.2.067 with a Volvo S80 Bluetooth in Europe. The Pearl cannot be discovered from the car, but the Pearl can discover the car and identified this as MyVolvo, then it is asking for a passkey. I have tried 0000 it diesnt work and it seems there is no passkey provided with the car manual.

I have tried to download the BB Bluetooth Pairing Helper, but this is available only OTA. Can you PLEASE let me know a link where I can download this to my BB over USB, NON-OTA? The reason of that is that I do not have an Internet Plan and my BB browser doesnt work.

Does anybody else have other solutions?

Thanks, I appreciate your help!
