Default Data charges, push services

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I'm wondering if the push weather icon on the homescreen uses data to update automatically. My questions is: will just having the icon on my homescreen charge me with data use, or only if I actually click on the icon to get the detail from the webpage?

I just got my bill and the data charges are huge, so I'm wondering what the main cause of the problem is.

Thanks.

It has to update through the internet so it uses data; I don't think there's any other way for it to update.

So you could get rid of it or upgrade to an unlimited data plan.
