Default Retrieving emails that were deleted b/c of the "memory Leak"

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

Does anyone know how to get the emails back that were deleted? I do "Syncronize Now" on the Desktop Manager, but that doesn't bring back the deleted ones. I'd like my Pearl inbox to replicate my work inbox, but the emailed that the Pearl deleted on it's own are not coming back. Even my IT department couldn't bring them back.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

The BlackBerry does not sync existing emails, only new incoming emails. I always remind my end-users that in a week or two you wont even know that you were ever missing any messages. For the time being you will only be able to view your old messages from desktop client.

Are you talking about this updated patch or OS or whatever it is that I've been reading about? Please elaborate as to what it is and what exactly it will do, how do we get it, etc. Hoping it will make sync my existing messages that it deleted, and not drain my memory for no reason.

I have NEVER had anyone of our 1200 BlackBerry customers lose messages because of a "memory leak". WHen the BB runs out of memory it will pitch messages. And the only way I've seen that happen (twice) is when people had extra language packs and input methods installed. And never on a Pearl.

So, I am not sure how much of an epidemic and update patch or whatever you are going to see.

And once a message is delete - and it is not in Outlook or on a POP3 account - it is gone.

If you are receiving mails from pop3 or redirector and the BB clears them of after particular length of time, e.g. 15 days or 1 month do they remain on pop3 and desktop or are they only deleted of BB. I am using the setting in reconcilliation that deletes from handheld and desktop.
Should i change this?
