Default How to remove e.g. IM icons from BES?

Please Login to Remove!

I want to remove any icons of apps we are restricting from users e.g. messaging icons, sprint navigator, etc. My users have an IT policy that prevents them from downloading any 3rd party apps to their phone so there is no point for them to have these icons there.
Any way I can do it from the BES? I am the admin of it

There's nothing you can do about icons on the BlackBerry from BES.

afo1201 Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Service Books -> Find your Sprint Naviagation, Yahoo! Messanger etc. Click the Menu and Delete. This will delete the icon on the BlackBerry. Hope that helps.

I've noticed that if policies are applied to disallow messenger applications, sometimes those icons don't disappear.

Hard booting the devices should work to remove the icon- it's done so for me in the past with BBM, live messenger, yahoo, google talk etc.

On a curve with 4.5, the messenger or chat folder exists but there are no icons listed inside for messenger applications.

i forget exactly where it is, but theres a setting in it policies to hide the carrier pushed icons (not positive it includes those ones but it def gets rid of the stupid att ones like att mall, etc).
