I have asked this question before but no joy, so I thought I would ask again. I can't access the mobile.blackberry.com site from my browser. It tells me I need OS 3.7 or higher. I have the data package from orange and the APN settings and get all my email, opera browser works, and I get the wap content. However the blackberry site doesn't seem to recognise my OS. Orange say that I have everything I need and the problem is with Blackberry. If anyone has a solution that would be great.

Copy and send the BB help link below by email and get the link from the email and see if that works.

"http://mobile.blackberry.com/mss/extras" remove the quotes

I tried that and it takes me to the help page which contains links for BB Messenger, Push Services and Ringtones. No themes. When i click on ringtones it gives me the 3.7 OS required message. I really don't know what the problem is. Frustrating!

I would think that this is a RIM web issue. I am begining to think that may be you need to re-install the firmware.

If installing the new OS updates the firmware, why does my phone still show the Orange logo when it boots up? Should this not change to whatever providers OS you have updated to?

Once an Orange BB, always an Orange BB. You can't change the startup splash screen.

Okay. If you do the wipe handheld option from within the security settings on the phone and then update the OS, is that the same as using the JL Cdr app to wipe handheld?
