Default please help

i've downloaded the program, removed the vendor file, go to the desktop manager, it then prompts me to update, i click ok, then i get stuck on the "connecting to the device (JVM)" and it does nothing. yes, i've left it for 30-45 mins, even over night, and yet still nothing.

so what do i do differently to get this update to work?

I don't notice anything substantial by way of speed improvement but (so far...) I have had no call lags or difficulty answering from "sleep" mode, which would be an improvement.

only thing i could think of would be to uninstall the dektopmanager, and download the newest one, i didnt have to do this but give it a shot.

This is what I noticed after upgrading:
1. No big difference in speed
2. PocketDay Pro won't work (I will reinstall it later and see)
3. Had to remove the battery to enable the new version to recognize my memory card
4. Not sure about the call lag issue, but I seem not to have a problem with it

(Side note: My next post will be the 100th one....woooooo)

Happy Thanx everyone!

can you test the call lag for me please? I am just downloading this new OS and I have had loads of problems with call lag! I am currently using the rogers version and it has no problem with call lag, unlike every other OS I have tried.

Steve,
I just tested it several times with a friend: No call lag! The first time my friend called me she got my voicemail, but after that -- every time! -- it worked flawlessly! Good news

However! If you are a PocketDay owner: it won't work with the new OS (bummer since I paid $40 for it and I like it a lot). Can someone confirm this please?

Just installed .67, I had 3 vids in my 'Pictures' folder, I can see them in DM, but I can't see them on my phone. Anyone else experience this problem?

Ok - doesn't appear to cure every instance of the sleep-mode freeze on call...

Had the phone freeze up when it rang tonight. Suppose I will have to go back to locking it using keylock. What a pain.

Otherwise, it does appear to have resolved the call lag.

If I have DM on a home PC and a laptop and want to upgrade, do I need to remove the vendor.xml file from both the PC and the laptop, or do I just need to remove it from the one that I am upgrading the pearl from?

Also, would it make a difference if the DM on the pc was the latest version used by TMo and the DM on the Laptop was from this release - ie different DM versions?

Thanks--

Try going to options-and see if there's an entry at the bottom for pocket day. If not, go to advanced options and then applications - see if there's an entry for pocket day (there might even be one in both).

Then see if there's an option for "edit permissions" by pressing the menu key when you are looking at the properties. If there is, make sure everything in sight is set to "allow."

This fixed my mystery freeze with Wayfinder and someone else's problem with another program.

Good luck!

Daniel

Thanks but it didn't solve the problem. I am going to contact Cross River Systems and ask them for ideas.
jibi, can you tell me what your PocketDay's permission is set for (both the default and current)? Thanks
