Default dual organizer (exchange & PST) accounts on 9900

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a 9900 off ebay, hopefully have it next week.

Have been using a 9630, and will hold on to this phone as a backup in case something happens with the 9900.

I just started work at a company that is using exchange. I use the web based email, contacts, & schedule book.

Also have outlook which pulls up my personal pst file that has my personal contacts, calendar, and memo's.

Will there be a way to keep the PST organizer and the exchange at work seperate?

Side note .... I always setup my PST sync with my blackberry so its one way, I.E. the date on the PC always over writes the data on the phone. What I ultimately want to do with the 9900 is to maintain the one way PST sync, and at the same time be able to access the exchange account for work.

You won't be able to do that if your work has BlackBerry Enterprise Server. As soon as you are added to that, you will lose your ability to sync to your local Outlook. I would highly recommend migrating your personal mail, contacts, calendar, and memos to a service like outlook.com.

So what is your reasoning on why I should move to outlook.com? I use web based email through comcast so only my contacts, calendar, and memo's are in my PST file.

All newer smartphones are being designed to not ever have to be connected to a computer. They are designed with the cloud (whether it's public or private) in mind. My suggestion is to create an outlook.com account, forward your Comcast mail to it, upload all of your contacts, calendars and memos there, and sync to that account. This way, you're not clinging to dying technology, you have less risk of data loss, and you're not locked into your ISP's email service.
