I am also panicking but only because I think 9900 will be the last true blackberry. I am thinking about buying them in bulk and stocking them so I can keep using them because there is nothing else that works like Blackberry's Mail app..

We have a bunch of people using the new Z10 and so far they are happy with the new phone including the push email service. Like any new device it's takes a bit to work out the bugs. I 'm waiting for the keyboard version only because i like to have one.

You do realize BIS will be shut down eventually and your 9900 will cease to work, right?

I don't think so. At least not until OS10 is up to par with OS7.1.. Sad but true. Newer, upgraded, faster OS is no match to older, complete OS.

Also, I don't mind if BIS is shut down, I use BES for work, and for hotmail/gmail, I can always 3rd party e-mail apps or forward them.

BlackBerry has stated that BES and older BIS will be around for 5 years.

Hyedipin - my guess is the carriers will do everything they can to accelerate the move to BB10 plans and devise.

BlackBerry will never request you to BC everyone in a broadcast to ensure service
