A friend of mine is a manager at a local verizon store. i'm contemplating on what phone to get, and he showed me the pearl... what an awesome first impression phone!

I had some questions, tho (newbie here, dont harp on me too hard!)

1. Ringtones:
Can I put Mp3's on a miniSD and use those as Ringtones? I use to make my own custom ones and load them through BitPim, but BitPim doesn't support smart phones.

2. Micrsoft Entourage 2004/2008 sync?
- can i sync my contacts/tasks/calendar with Entourage (Mac os version of outlook) via bluetooth?

I can answer #1 ( I just learned this a second ago). Yes you can.

As far as ringtones just make them and drop and drag them to the memory card, that's all then use.

okay, so it looks like mp3 will work. aac and m4a (itunes) tracks will work too? just curious.

My understanding was that Verizon's phones do not support the bluetooth transfer of files. I believe it was called OBEX. I have tried to transfer contact information via bluetooth on a PC and been denied. To the best of my knowledge it is something tied to the Verizon OS.
