All of a sudden for the last day i have not been able to connect to the aim messenger service on the new 8320. sometimes it goes as far as loading buddy lists but just freezes, i tried my old phone and it works fine. I called tmobile and the representative said the engineers had acknowledged this as a problem for some of the users but no solution has been put into place yet. Any ideas what I can do? i must have aim :s
I started getting this same problem late last night.
It either stalls out and doesn't connect, or it gets hung up at receiving buddies, or if it does go to the main screen, none of my buddies appear, and I can't send/receive IM's although, I do show up as online to my buddies
same here, it signed off late last night and cant fully connect since. hopefully they are working on this, i wonder if i were to download a 3rd party messenger program if it would work? either way i am sure they will fix the aim messenger soon. they have to!
signed off, closed the app. opened it back up again. signed on. no problems.
still works for me. just wish i could set my own personal status and have more than 30 buddies....hopefully in the near future this will be fixed.
mine doesnt work either, i called tmobile and was the phone with them for several hours, we tried hard resetting, pulling battery, resending service books, none worked. its just a blackberry issue affecting certain customers. either way the aim client that comes with it sucks, they need to make an update and make it full featured. i downloaded the jivetalk its alot better.
well.. I'm not sure if it was coincidence or not, but I read in another thread how people were having problems with MSN and GTalk, and the problem is that their Date/Time source was Blackberry and that it needed to be on Network. I'm not sure if that was my fix, but it wouldn't hurt to try
