I'm sorry for such a basic question, but please could someone advise the step-by-step instructions for downloading a theme to my Pearl.

I have tried downloading a Zip file from a website, but the Application loader won't recognise it..I think that may be to do with unzipping it first??? I'm not sure how to do that to make it recognisable, so basics needed please.

You'll have to find an OTA (Over the air) theme if you are wanting to download it directly to your Pearl. Usually it should just say "visit this link on your blackberry" or something similar. I wouldn't recommend using the desktop software to load the theme, OTA is way easier.

May I ask what the theme is?

Yes you have to unzip the file first...you will find COD n ALX files
then connect your BB to PC and opend the Desktop manager
then open the application loader......use Add/update button
then use the browse button to locate the unzipped files
after you know wt to do ;) ..enjoy the theme,

by the way there are some animated themes available...serach in these forums :D

I must be using a corrupted file as this doesn't work unfortunately.

I am looking for a simple theme to replace my Vodafone Today which I had on my old 8100.
