My wife got her 8300 this weekend and she loves it! No problems so far - except there's no icon for a browser (!!). She's on O2 (UK). I'm still very happy with my 8800 ....

Seriously dude.... get over it... every time a device launches someone posts a thread like this. It's useless to the good of the forum members. Find me a device in history that hasn't had some minor flaw. It's plastic, things are going to squeek and be lose sometimes. Look in the postings when the pearl came out... or the 8800... or the 8700... or the 7100/7105.... they all have things we wish we could change about them. Move on... don't you have a dog you could be kicking or a kid to be neglecting?
(and FYI it's "who's keeping THEIR Curve" not "there")

SIX UNITS! I hope you found a good one out of six!
As far as how we overlook issue. My Blackberry is tool for helping my organize and make phone calls. The very first one did this perfectly with out a single flaw. As far as inspecting every tiny little surface, I do not. At the end of every day, I wipe it down with a microfiber cloth and plug it into the charger.
I do not let the little stuff bother me. ANY phone, watch or other items a human uses every day take it's knocks and will be damaged. So do not fall in love with your device, use it and enjoy it for what it was intended to be, a tool and not an item to be worshipped or held up as a graven God!

Get lost pal!
Every time a device is launched Someone puts up a thread like this? You've been here since May 07, what have you seen like one launch? Like I said this was put up just to see how everybody is either liking and keeping, or not liking their Curve and returning it! People would not be posting if it was a useless thread, your post is pretty useless! And just so you know Blackberry Typer Tough Guy, I would never kick my Dog, and don't have any kids to neglect. Some people just like their phones a certain way (Plenty of people) it's not up to you tell someone to move on, you move on! Don't throw stones pal, I throw back!

Right.... sorry I questioned your additional 6 months of tenure with a product that's been out for 10 years... and let's see, I've had every one PAL...

Glad you had em all!
That's great, I've had plenty too PAL! Plus countless other devices, has no bearing on where your going with this! Simple solution to this! I like my devices a certain way, as do countless others on this Forum, and thats that! As for you PAL, if you don't have anything good to add to this thread, I suggest you move on, the Forum is a big place, go get lost in it! Adios...

Agreed. I type way faster on the pearl (until you have to put in somebodies name). But, I dont think I could go back to the smaller screen. Love the curve.

I've had a bunch of smartphones but this is my first BB. My wait was well worth it. The Curve is excellent and will likely remain on my hip for a while.

You would have to tear it from my hand if you wanted me to give it up! It far exceeded my expectations and needs!
