Must agree, after using it for some time now, I have to admit, the eyecandy is nice, my BB "feels" definitively snappier, it looks just sleeker but overall, very much overrated if that's the final feature set. Don't understand why this was not done gradually...

I also took the plunge and intstalled 4.5. So far I like the new look email and the browser is much better. The major downside is that my battery now runs out a lot quicker.
The dropout in reception is also a bit of a pain. Hopefully though RIM sort out all these issues in the final version (whenever that might be)

I love it on my 8320 on tmo. No problems other than a bit of a memory leak, which seems to have stabilized after setting media ->options -> picture memory to zero. The browser is sooo much better. And you tube is the best.

Reading these posts I can understand why it's important to wait for a legit release.
I'm dying to try out OS 4.5, but I'm going to wait.
People are judging something that isn't yet meant to be judged.

On of my biggest annoyances is when I am working on a project and someone comes along and starts critiquing it. I just want to scream IT'S NOT F*****ING DONE YET!

I would load it if they had one for the 8300. The betas were only 8310 and 8320. That sucks...I love to be on the bleeding edge.

No, beta evaluation software is designed specifically to be judged and critiqued. The issue here is that the critiquing is being done by persons not intended to have or be critiquing the beta operating systems.

Amateur Hour.

I also agree with JS.
I understand the purpose of beta software and testers.
I guess I should have been more clear.
