Starting with which version of the OS has the DST issue been fixed.. ie.. starting with which version do you NOT need to install the DST patch? After many updates and down-dates I am now on Cingular v 71.

I believe .96 might have been the first to have the DST patch included.

I am using .107 and it appears as though mine is not in DST. I tried what someone here suggested to keep your appointments in GMT. I am in Houston where GMT is currently local time +5 hours. When I put in a 12PM appointment in GMT (5PM) in appears in my calendar as 11AM. That is GMT-6 hours.

Is there any other way to check that my phone is on DST or not?

The patch was installed when I upgraded to 107. I then deleted it. Was that bad?

pauly, not sure why you would set it that way (appointments in GMT).
"Central Daylight Savings Time is -5 hours, (negative) from GMT. When Daylight Savings Time ends, we in Central will be -6.

As to your DST patch, go to this link from your BB browser, it should tell you if you need it.

I was just trying it out since I read in another thread that it would keep the time of your appointments constant regardless of what time zone you are in, or something like that.

I'll try the link to see if I it is OK or not.
