Default Key/Dial tone from home screen... shut off?

Please Login to Remove!

Any way to silence the key tones?? If I dial a number while in a quiet place.. at work, etc. it is very obvious that I am dialing a number!

(Everyone READ the end of this thread where your beloved moderator and random BBforums user takes cheap shots at me for no apparent reason)

Copy and paste a number works - also, emergency calls can be made without dialing

And obviously that is not the situation you were in when you experienced the silly keytones. There have been dozens of threads on the forum here with a couple of simple workarounds.

Try this;

Make your Memopad your convenience key app. Then when you want to make a call hit the convenience key type the number into a memo, click the number and there ya go! No key tone.

Thanks to 'Crazydude' for giving me this tip.

More like you are in high school dreaming of owning a BMW and they have told you you not use your phone during class!

Thanks for your prompt and proper reply. Unlike some of the "higher ups" and so called "moderators" on this forum, you have demonstrated your maturity with your response to a simple question.

On a side note--I don't want to go through all that trouble to make a silent call. I do a lot of stock/property trading so I am always dialing a new number from my office. If it's my friends, etc. I'll just dial by name and hit SEND.

Oh and by the way Sherlock, punctuation belongs inside the quotation marks.

How bad does it get when you are going after ones punctuation.

thank you BMW for cleaning and editing your initial post and query.

No one has taken cheap shots at you, we responded in the same tone in which you posted your question, and you have since edited that.

I've deleted your post in which you couldn't refrain from cursing another user, and only ask that you show some restraint in the future.

Your initial question was answered way up the thread and myself and others offered you direction on a workaround. We can't help it that you don't those answers.

Enjoy.

Default Ignorant homophobia on this board

Can I implore everyone, please, to cease using "gay" as a pejorative description of anything?

This is really offensive and juvenile. Keep your prejudices to yourself.

Agreed, Sam. I"ll edit that out of the OP's post, as well as my quoting him in my response, and the other inapproriate words disguised as not. Thanks.
