hello all im from holland and i had a curve 8520 before and it was all fine but now it broke and they replaced it for a new one and i insert my sim card (vodafone) i cant go on the internet i can talk on bbm but on the browser it sayed something like WAP-services so i changed some things in browser settings and now it just says service unavailable.
please help me it would we really helpfull and you will get my greatest thanks

Did you call your cell carrier and make sure they know the new IMEI and PIN and reactivate the new device on your account?

Ditto what Dubdub says. If BBM is working, though, it sounds like the new BlackBerry is already associated with your BIS account and you just need to resend service books. If you get the run around from your carrier, just try resending service books before you call back and try and get someone else on the line.

hmm i think i already did that it was something with email options then send books right?

That would be it. And you got the messages, one for each email address, right?

Make sure on the browser that you are not opening the carrier wap browser thinking you are opening the BlackBerry browser.

Ok, you have a BlackBerry data plan, you are opening the browser, but you are getting some sort of "no service" error message.

Do it again and post the exact text of the error message.

And, are you connected to the mobile network with adequate signal reception and are you connecting to the RIM/BlackBerry network?

And, make sure you are not trying to open a bookmarked wifi page with wifi turned off.

maybe thats it with the wifi thing but how do i know if it is a wifi page?
but since i have my new bb i have a wifi sign on the top right corner i did'nt had this on my precious blackberry.

There may be other scenarios, but these are the two I know, and this applies to pre-OS 6 browsers. So if you are on OS 6 then disregard.

If you have bookmarked a site and selected hotspot/wifi browser when saving the bookmark, then you will not be able to open that bookmarked page using the mobile network and you will get an error message.

And if you've been browsing on wifi with the wifi browser and you move out of wifi range or otherwise lose wifi, and the BlackBerry shifts over to the mobile network, you will get an error message.

But disregard the above if you are using OS 6.

Note that the BlackBerry internet browser (as opposed to the hotspot browser) does work on wifi, even with mobile network off, as do other BlackBerry data services (... provided you have a BlackBerry data plan, and provided you are connecting through to the BlackBerry/RIM network. If the light half of the wifi icon is grey instead of bright white, you are not connected to the BlackBerry/RIM network on wifi.)
