Default Bold bluetooth connection with Cars

Please Login to Remove!

I have built in handsfree in my acura and bmw. My curve (and previousl blackberries) would connect instantaneously to each car when putting the key in the cars.

With my bold, it does not connect until after 3 or 4 minutes. It also disconnects from the handsfree in the car often, especially after dialing. Also, it often isn't recognized by the cars.

Has anyone else had these problems with the Bold. Do I have to edit anything in the options to make it work more effeciantly.

Please help.

I'm running version 4.6.0.162

I had similar problem with all O/S until I got 244. I have been using it for 3 - 4 weeks with no one single drop with the Motorola HF850

Try turning off Content Protection, assuming it is enabled. I just resolved an issue with my Motorola HF680 by doing so. (I'm using v.4.6.0.247)

Exclamation

I've got a Lexus LS 430 (2004) with built in Bluetooth and it links up with 10 seconds of the car starting. The thing I don't like is when I place a call, it doesn't link up to the call right away, there is a twenty second or so gap. . .so often times the person has already picked up my outgoing call before I can hear them! Any suggestions?!

Same software version, and same issues with a Kenwood DNX-series head unit. It will eventually auto-connect but it waits several minutes to do so. I always assumed it was due to the slow startup of the Kenwood navigation system..

Angry BB9000 & Bury Handsfree- not working-not happy

I have bought at Bury handsfree from Telstra for my new BB9000 and had it 'professionally' installed.
I have been messing a round with it for a week now.
Once or twice it has managed to get a Bluetooth connnection for long enough for a phone call to be made or received- but the rest of the time it just WILL NOT WORK. I get the flashing blue light for a second ot two- then it stops- or the connection is lost or whatever.
I have run the search and listen functions on the BB about a million times - I have deleted the device and re-found it as well many times-to no avail.
As far as I'm concerned, the BB doesn't even have to connect by Bluetooth- I already had a Nokia Bluetooth button in my car which worked with the BB just fine; I only wanted the cradle so I could charge the BB and talk handsfree to avoid breaking the law, and I don't have either.
Any suggestions - or shall I just sue the installer and the supplier of the Bury?

I have an acura as well, same problem. It's OS .162 that's the culprit. Problem went away as soon as I upgraded, has worked fine with subsequent OS's.
