so i updated from the first os 6 update the to second one and halfway though the screen goes black.. black light and keyboard is on. so once it was complete i tried to downgrade to the os6 and then to os5 i have replaced the screen to see if it died but exactly the same problem.
Please Help I'm phoneless :( =

Unless the battery is dead and needs a recharge it may need to be reloaded using JL_cmdr available on the forum via a search.

hi thanks for the reply i've tryed this too i wiped it got the 501 error ( i had to do a printscreen to see what the phone displayed and then i reloaded an os5 to see if it fixed it but no cookie. i read some where that if you put a 004/111 screen into a 002/111 it fixed the problem i am having? have you or anyone done this?

Doing an upgrade should not have caused the screen to go bad. As for the replacement of the screen, you need to be very sure you replace it with ONLY the exact same number.

501 error is a memory corruption. Unless you dropped the BB or got it wet I would try doing another OS fix but this time use JL_cmdr to do the reload. Go to the FAQ section at the top of the Forum page for more info on using the app.

I still dont understand the need to replace the screen but who knows maybe.
