Exclamation Broken Blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday the charge on my Blackberry was very low. When it said the battery was too low for radio use, I turned it off, rather than letting the battery completely drain. Today when I got home, I plugged my phone into my computer (my charger doesn't work so this is the only way to charge my phone until I get a new charger) before trying to turn it on. The red light came on and nothing else happened. I've tried leaving it on charge for a while, then unplugging it and seeing whether it will turn on but nothing is working. The red light stays on when it is plugged into the computer, whether the battery is in or not. It just won't turn on. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

It's possible your battery has failed. If your routine is to run the battery down flat before recharging, it's likely you've shortened its lifespan.

Anyway, leave it on the computer USB for an hour or two or three, then while still plugged in remove the battery for a moment and see if it boots. If it doesn't boot, it's possible a wall charger will work, but maybe not. I've been able to charge depleted batteries on USB but some say that isn't the case for everyone.

I don't usually leave it to run completely down, I try and charge it ever night. I also bought a brand new battery in October because I thought mine wasn't working, when it was actually the charger. So that's why I'm worried, because I don't think it will be the battery! I'll leave it plugged in for a few hours and see what happens.
