Hi everyone,

Just signed up to the forums, don't know much about Blackberry (was always using Android products) but at my job everyone is issued a BB and we have BES10.

I have a user who was using a BB Z30 and he switched over to a BB Leap. We activated him on BES he we went through the setup and his e-mails have populated but he is reporting his contacts (phonebook contacts) are missing. Are these backed up on BES and switched to the new device automatically? If no, how can I export his Z30 phonebook contacts and import into BB Leap?

Sorry this question maybe a bit noob but BB's are strange things to me.

are the contacts on the mail server or just the phone?

Had this issue a few time with people using multi accounts and filing them to the wrong one or using just the phones internal contacts only.

BES 10 and higher do no back up the phones contacts. it will sync the mail account contacts

Interestingly enough the user called back and said he phone contacts populated as well. Interesting...
