Default 'Options Wrench' missing from main screen

Please Login to Remove!

Good morning all-

This is my first post to the site so bear w/ me if it's in the wrong section, but from what I saw in other sections this seemed like as good a place as any to post.

Anyways, we've been utilizing Blackberry's at my office now since about March, BES, ~20 users. Everything has been pretty simple and for the most part a pleasure to work with. Only exception being having crappy Nextel service in our office...

We're all using 7250's with a few using some hand-me-down older ones.

Anyways, one of the users came in this AM with a problem. I'm not sure what it was mattering to him, but it does puzzle me...his 'Options Wrench' is now missing from the default main screen. Everything else seems to be there.

I have serached Google, Blackberry's knowledge base and even this site to no avail.

Have any of you had this happen before? I'm going to try hooking it up to the cradle to see if that does anything, I have also resent the service book (though the user is out of the office right now)...

Any suggestions are helpful and if I find out in the mean time, I'll post details.

Thank you!

he may have hidden the icon by mistake.

press the and then the wheel

select show all

select the wrench(it should have an x on it)

then press again and then press the wheel and deselect hide application

Murpheous-

That was the trick. Thank you very much!

I would never have guessed in a million years using that combination to hide icons, nor did I know you could. Also, when I showed him what he did he had no clue how he did it (surprise, surprise)...

Thanks again.

I have hidden quite a few of my icons (on purpose) and its quite convenient when you're lazy like me and don't want to spin that track wheel 3 or 4 times.
