Default 3rd Party Email App

Please Login to Remove!

I am a simple man with simple needs.

I just want:

1. An alternative mail application for the BB that can handle IMAP
2. This client should synchronize all folders AND give me the ability to move messages from one folder to another

LogicMail doesn't do this.
Gmail's mobile client doesn't do this.

Any of the other crappy tools that I've seen people post about don't do this.

PLEASE tell me that I have missed something and that there is something like this out there!

Thanks...

I'm betting the blackberry is not the best device for you. Or maybe you want hosted BES. I'm interested to see what others say.

By the way, blackberrys do not sync email, not even with BES so far as I know.

No, the Blackberry is the ONLY device for me.

This is for a secondary personal/business account that I need to monitor and manage. I also have a corporate account that I access through BES.

The reason the Blackberry is the ONLY device for me is because NOTHING handles Exchange integration better than BES. Not even Windows Mobile. The keyboard is still the best out there. The battery life is still the best.

I just came off of a temporary stint on an iPhone because of those exact issues.

Yes, the BB browser sucks and the screen is relatively tiny if you don't want touchscreen (which I now know I do not), but I'll live with that if I could just properly synchronize my other account!

Good luck. Hope someone else has some helpful ideas for you. I sympathize.

No sub-folders on BIS. It's unfortunate, but the only alternative is a hosted BES solution like others have suggested.

I want email access of any kind, other than through a browser, with wifi. I just can't get LogicMail to work. Any suggestions? Won't authenticate.

A hosted BES solution is the only alternative . Not sure how easy or hard it is to connect to 2 different BES, if it can even be done. Not real sure you can. Check the BE Admin section.

The only option that I see is another BB on a hosted BES for the secondary personal/business account.

I share your interest and have tried a couple of the very few that seem to be available. One that showed promise but didn't work on my device was Logicmail

I ended up buying Tiggit Mail which does work; it's sometimes a bit slow with message retrieval and not cheap but it seems stable and does work with both POP3 and IMAP email accounts.

There just aren't that many email clients for the BB since email is part of its core functionality. That said, I don't understand why IMAP support isn't better.
