Default Can i get my ExchangeMyMail BES account to work without blackberry data plan?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I am new to blackberry.

I bought a blackberry without a blackberry data plan. I have a normal data plan that i currently use on my blackberry to browse interent using opera mini and get Google mail via gmail app but no BIS service.

For some reason i am font want to enroll in a blackberry data plan.

Those people in EBB offer a good BES service as of what i read from reviews around and i want to subscribe to their email solution.

My questions are:

1- will i be able to setup the BES without a blackberry data plan?

i can see in my blackberry that i can setup a BES account but i just wanna someone to describe their experience in the matter.

i know contacts will sync but
2- if i get BES to work, will blackberry browser work?

I appreciate any help here.

Thanks.

The general rule is, No data plan, No data. A lot of services offer BIS also.

Thanks for the quick reply.
That is a sad end to the story

but why does it want to start the BES account setup now without me having any blackberry data plan?

i dont really need BIS, i just need the BES and in my service provider website they have no mention of BES.

O2 should offer a BES plan. What do all the firms using O2 use to connect to BES?

It doesn't want to. You have the option to start Enterprise Activation (assuming that you have the requisite BES data plan). Again, refer to the FAQ.
