Currently there is a user who is experiencing an issue where email messages before a certain date stopped syncing. Messages after that date are coming through.

I tried to sync his email with the desktop manager but that didn't work. I then wiped the device and then I went through the steps to activate with our BES. That was successful. Now only messages after the time I activated the phone are coming through.

The calendar and contacts are ok. I also resent the Service Book.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Messages sent before activation with BES or BIS will never come through wirelessly. It's not meant to work that way.

Is there a way to get older messages before the activation date?

Only if you're the BES Admin and follow the instructions here:
Enable message prepopulation for all users on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server

OR you can simply delete the existing BES account and create a new one, but then items like Bookmarks and Settings will be lost.

That's because BB's don't sync email.

IIRC prepopulation via BES EA only includes several days (can be adjusted by the BES admin) of email.

Thanks for the replies. Is there a way to pre-populate messages for just one user or do I have to enable this for everyone?
