Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

It is a custom theme this person created to work with 4.2 OS's. Some people want it now and are willing to pay.

I extracted that theme from the 8300 4.3 OS and installed it on my 8310 4.2.2 OS and it had some issues.

For the most part it seemed to work, but could not scroll thru the icons on the left side of the screen...only the bottom and the main icon screen after hitting the BB button.

I think it requires the 4.3 OS software to work correctly (unless using the custom theme made for 4.2)

How is the 4.3 otherwise? I'm quite skeptical to mess with beta OS releases as the 4.2 for the 8700 (whew, hope I'm not dating myself here) was buggy as anything (at least, the version I had).

Though, the more I think about it, the more I'm dying to try the 4.3 beta for the 8800, if one is even available anywhere, through any given means.

I doubt a 4.3 theme would even work on a 4.2 device.

If you download the 4.3 JDE, you'll find traces of the L-theme in the resource files. I'm guessing you'll see the actual theme available, free, from RIM, when OS 4.3 ships.

In the meantime, the folks at BBEXtra has cleverly tweaked *something* (I'm guessing it's in the files used by the Theme Builder) so that they can produce a version of the L-theme and Today Plus theme *now*, for OS 4.2.x.

I gave in, and bought the Today+ theme, and find that it's quite nice. Seems to work perfectly well, and I have always been a fan of Today Plus.

A mere ten bucks, as I recall.

Anyone find a free version of this? It's down to $5.00 which isn't bad, but if its going to be out soon, why bother.

I bought Today+, and it's the best theme out there. I was reluctant to pay the 10 bucks, but ... still... It's the BEST! I totally don't regret it :P best purchase EVER! It has my favs... Messages showing up, calendar and calls. Then with the flick of my thumb, I have the best of every Zen! :D

A++++++!

I'm inclined to support that. It is nice, yes, but if it's going to be coming out at some point in the fairly near future, then what's the difference?

Since BBExtra's is no longer selling theme's...what's the next best place to get an L theme or the Today+ theme? (for the 8310 preferably!)
