I rush exchance with automatic reconciliation.
Google talk
and thats about it for active services.
My problem is my blackberry is slow doing everything.
It is slow when calls come in to ring. I will see it light up for 5-10 seconds like its thinking about what to do. Ring finally, then go to voicemail.
Its slow when typing emails/texting/google talk im'ing. I will be typing a sentence, then the little hourglass pops up - next thing i know, my words were lost, and im waiting 2 minutes for it to stop thinking
My google talk services will crash. Has done this forever. My phone will lockup when checking email.
I will press a shortcut key for dialing/address book, and it will lag 20 seconds before popping the number.
My memory isnt maxed out. Dont have many apps on this. I have about 500-1k emails on it at any given time. Thats about it though.
What other applications do you have installed? Is there something that remains running in the background that could be causing this?
To see what else is running, hold down the ALT button and press the trackwheel (should get a 'task switchter' in the middle of the screen). What application icons do you see?

That could be causing your slowdowns. Try not running Google Maps and see if that makes a difference. If not, try not running Google Maps and GoogleTalk... maybe you can narrow down what apps are causing slowdowns.
will do - i did notice google maps comes with location tracking now, however i have been experiencing these problems a while.
Honestly, I think it is partially caused by 4.2. I found an old bb and it was zippy. However i couldnt seperate my SMS/MSG boxes with it, so i had no choice by to go to 4.2
