I joined the forum because my teenage encouragable son and I both Blackberry's from Boost. He is so into himself, he does not understand the importance of backing up his phone. How can you get this note of importance across to a kid full of "I know everything and your stupid cuz you didn't have cell phones back in your day" and "I'll never get hurt or die because I have enabled my teenager shield." if all he see's the phone as a way to text and get away from his disabled mother (ah, got him there) and use the internet on that blackberry for evil, lol.

The problem is very very easy.

To get his attention do the folllowing.

STOP PAYING FOR THE SERVICE ON HIS PHONE.

Remind him your old enough but not feeble yet to remember dial phones and how to disconnect service.

I don't think I'll do that, I meant to say, he doesn't call anyone, but when his father or I call he does answer (he better). He thinks like a teenager, but he is, no less responsible enough to have a phone and knows that one trip-up will definitely get it turned off! I do think phone + teen equals always on it. I think he texts more than he talks and he likes that better. I would rather talk and not have to type if I could. Tho I'm not about to kill myself walking into an uncovered man hole doing either anyway, which I hope he doesn't do. . .
