Default Firstly, hello all. Any tips for a bt headset please.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, I have looked in the bluetooth section but there are no threads covering this. I use a bt headset pretty much all the time, static mainly as opposed to driving. Although I do like to have a wander around the room during a lengthy call I don't go far from the phone.
I have read many reviews on various websites before deciding which one to go for, have recently lost a Nokia that had the best sound but was really uncomfortable after half an hour or so, I am using a spare Samsung which isn't great.

I had almost decided to go for one of the Plantronics models, the Voyager Pro. This was until I spotted a couple of reviews suggesting there are static problems when connecting to a BB.

So I'm back to square one, any help would be appreciated. Clarity of the audio (both ways) is the most important feature for me, my calls are very involved and static is a definite no no. Obviously I also need something comfortable due to the length of time it will be worn.
I am unclear whether or not BB recommend a particular make/model, or indeed if they actually make their own.
Have read a bit about these Jawbones, seems they are more for show than functionality.

Sorry for all the waffle but wanted to explain what I'm after.

Cheers in advance.

Welcome to BBF.

As for a BT headset, you should go check some out at a store and see what you like. There are several different kinds and manufacturers. I have used Motorola, Plantronics and Jabra and like all 3 makes.

thanks Dubdub, great idea but I'm unsure which stores actually have these things out of the pack and allow you to try them before buying, hygiene issues etc.
Am I right in assuming you have used a Plantronics with a BB? If so were there any static issues.

thanks again.

Static can be caused by so many things, but no, I have not experienced any static with any of the headsets I have used. I can say that Plantronics ones seem to be the most difficult to pair however. Moto and Jabra are the easiest.
