Default How to setup Att connect with Bold via bluetooth?

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know how to get Att connect for using it as modem via bluetooth instead of having to connect via USB cable?

Default My Solution

1 Create a new Dial up Connection using the bluetooth modem

2 Under the Device properties Click on the Advanced Tad and enter this String > AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","wap.cingular" Exactly as shown (can not copy and paste)

3 Number to Dial is *99#
4 User Name is (wap@cingulargprs.com)
5 Password is CINGULAR1 (All Caps)
Presto you have a Bluetooth Modem
!!

No more battery either although very convenient, it will also drain the battery pretty quickly

im getting error 633, I have tried the advanced string not sure if you want the > symbol infront of the AT+ stuff but I tried it with it and without it.

Says the modem is already in use or is not configured properly, I am using .210

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","wap.cingular"

that is the exact thing I am putting in advanced tab in device manager under bluetooth modem properties. Doing everything else you are telling me to do.

yeah no doubt! At crackberry they say to disabled IP header compression, and the other three options like modem error checking and two others in configure options in the dial up propterties. I think this is so ATT or your provider doesn't know you are tethering. I noticed too that this increased my speed test to 1.8mb down 35k upload.
