I have been enjoying 4.5 so far, however, while it sucked in 4.2 at least I had a way to view PDF files in a pinch. In 4.5 no such luck. I also see it is not part of Docs to Go. Is there another PDF viewer I should be looking for?

The stock BB OS will view PDFs. BeamBerry has a more advanced PDF view if you want it.

You said the stock OS will view them, are you referring to 4.5 OS's? Currently I get the message that "Thisattachment type cannot be viewed on your device". Is there something I need to do to get the stock viewer working again on 4.5?

Make sure your BB Attachment Service is loaded with the OS. Not knowing where and what release of your OS you have, I don't know what you got.

It should show up in the App Loader, and on your device at Options > Advanced > Applications.

I am using 4.5.0.46. I do have the Blackberry Attachment Service loaded and it is version 4.5.0. It includes the following modules: net_rim_bb_docview, net_rim_bb_browser_plugin_docview and net_rim_bb_docviewimage. Any other ideas?

It should work then.

Perhaps someone sent you a rogue PDF version or something. I view them all the time.

And remember your .46 is beta, therefore might have bugs... and is a bit old at this point.

I have tried multiple PDF files and none of them open. It immediately comes back with this file is not supported on this device. It is like it doesn't know that the attachment service can open a PDF....

hmm, report it. It "is" a beta OS.

Well after playing with it some more, it appears that about 1/3 of the PDF's I get via email, do work, while the other 2/3rds are not recognized. No obvious difference between the two version yet....
