You'll need to earn more money before you can enter the World Series (much like in the real world of poker tournaments).

Maybe this is where the confusion enters in. In version 1 of the game you can start a World Series game any time.

Default Can't download OTH

When I try and download THK2 over the air, this is the message I get. Any ideas? I know it's probably something really easy...I just got the thing so cut me some slack.

"Due to Java security restrictions, you cannot use thish application to download other Java MIDlets"

Hi, your systems administrator has switched off the ability to download applications to your BlackBerry. We suggest emailing them to tell them you'd like that capability (for productivity reasons...).

Curious.... has anyone won the World Series yet? Is there a blinds and payout schedule anywhere to view.

it looks like i'm on os 4.0.0.34 and dm 4.0.0.23.

i used the ota link and got an error something like 'must be signed with rim runtime code signing key'.

<del> other attempts to install app

i finally gathered all the files named texas holdem into one folder and pointed the desktop manager to the alx file. this time it said it installed the app, but when i try to run it i'm right back to the 'signed module rrt error. btw, klondike and blackjack came right up and ran, so it's not like i'm unable to install anything

so i'm snookered. i give up. i know when to fold 'em.

/guy

OTA is by far the easiest way to install applications on the BlackBerry. The rest of your post is a diary of what a lot of people have to go through in order to install software on the BB.

However,

We generally see the error you are referring to: 'signed module rrt error' when testing of our games occurs on unreleased OS software.

Have you recently updated your OS or are you using a pre-release version of the OS?

i updated when v4 came out about 2-4 months ago.

'about' from the phone settings shows v4.0.0.198 (platform 18.0.12). the v4.0.0.34 one i cited in the original post came from a window in the desktop app.i thought it was the first released version but i haven't been keeping up with the forums since then.

but it's something specific to texas holdem, right? since two of your other games seem to run ok.

Might be something related to network code.

Best to follow up directly with [email address] and provide that info from your posting and Phea will either provide a workaround or refund.
