Default e-mail sync

Please Login to Remove!

i am running BES express and i am having issue with a user.

they have a 9650 bold with the default IT policy that the system creates/assigns to the device.

there are no issues with sending/receiving emails, calendar, contacts and memos sync up.

sent items appear on the phone, etc...if i delete from the phone, it deletes it from the exchange mailbox, no problem there.

the issue is when deleting from the mailbox. the user deletes mail from their mailbox all day and it stays on the device. i have checked the device settings, it is set to delete from mailbox and handheld. wireless reconciliation is on and i tried popping out the battery to see if that would do anything...it didnt.

i tried a manual reconcile process, and i see the arrows moving in the upper right hand corner, but it never mirrors the users mailbox.

thanks.

thank you, i just read that and i already tried one of the recommendations in that article...changing the setting/saving/changing it back...nothing.

also, one of the kb links is dead/takes me to a page telling me that the information is no longer there.

right now, BB doesnt have a fix for this?

seems kind of odd, the main reason we purchased the BES server was for email, contacts, calendar sync. funny how that isn't working properly.

is this the proper article?

Change the size of the message state database - Administration Guide - BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange - 5.0.3

i dont think i should have an issue with the small amount of users i have on BES, less than 10, but i don't feel comfortable doing this unless i know it will fix the issue.

is it as easy as switching the value back to default if changing it to 1000 doesnt work?

its easy to switch it back if need be.

ok, i changed it from 100 to 500, how long for the changes to kick in? i am sure the BES server needs to communicate with the device to notice the change...?

thanks again.
