Default HELP! I can't download any application

Please Login to Remove!

I use Bold 9700 and I've tried to download BBM, facebook and other apps on my BB but it keeps telling me my device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry application world. I don't understand this. Pls, what do I do? Also, I can't add anyone to my BBM contact, it's been pending for God knows how long, I can't ping. Help pls

You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account. Nothing you mentioned will work without it.

Contact your carrier for details.

Im having this exact issue on my brand new Verizon 9930 with unlimited data plan. So far I have done multiple battery pulls, re-registered the service book (twice), uninstalled\reinstalled app world (three times), did an OS upgrade which rolled back the version of app world..then I reloaded the new version again. I have tried the app world install while connected to the PC and by having the link sent to my registered BB email. Saw something about the "permit insecure renegotiation" option on the TLS page..no issue there. I can login to app world on my PC without issue. All other functionality on the phone works just fine. The only thing I cannot do is download from BB app world.

Oh...And when I did the OS upgrade and it rolled back the version of app world, I tried it then and that didnt work either. Didnt give an error msg..just nothing happened when I clicked "download" to install an app.

Bring it back to Verszon. they might be able to help.

Yes..When I connected it to desktop mgr it had either update or upgrade (don't recall which word specifically) for the OS. But that has nothing to do with my issue. I could not prior to that, and still can't, dwnld anything frm app world.

Airtel does offer a weekly Blackberry plan but the details are not clear on services allowed. They say email and internet browsing is available. One plan is only for email and the other includes internet.

shygirluptown , you may have the email only plan. as suggested a call to the carrier may help.

It's worth noting that carrier data plans are not the same as BlackBerry data plans. "Unlimited" with a carrier plan is only unlimited for the specific things the carriers lists as being included. Often BlackBerry data is not part of these plans. You have to be very specific about BlackBerry data when asking about these plans.

This is my third BB. All with Verizon..all with unlimited plan..all with the same BB registered email..and app world has worked fine until now.
Today I took my phone to the Verizon store. The dude worked on the phone an hour and a half and couldn't fix it. I just finally told him not to worry about it. He's going to call BB on monday and see if they have a solution.

Hi,
Check if blackberry service is activated , if you see blackberry enterprise server activation date , then it should work. Won't work otherwise even if you have a funky blackberry.
