I recently changedjobs and now for work a small bank. I ely heavily on email and wante to use my Blackberry, however the Bank has issues with this. They have no BES in place, so they will only allow us to use windows based smartphones. It has to have Activesync to pull from the bank's server. Ido however have access to corporate webmail. It sounds like to me that the bank simply does not want to have to purchase a BES so they will only allow us to use windows for this reason. What would keep me from setting up my mobile outlook onthe blackberry? Is there some type of security that could prohibit me from doing this? I would imagine as long as I have my username and password along with the website I should be able to do this. Any help or input is greatly appreciated. I just want my Blackberry back!

Ok forgive my newbie negligence....I di a search and found some great info. It sounds like I should be able to get access to my corporate email through BIS and webmail. My question now is if I should have full functionality, send/receive, or emails????

Sorry for the questions I just want to get my ducs in a row before I buy a new blackberry to find it will not work for me. Thank you so much for any help!

They support WM devices. I would hazard a guess that they give those devices to users that are authorized to carry them to access emails.

Try asking your IT folks. Any answers along the line of 'you can't' or 'you are not allowed' shoud give you the idea to not try it.

BIS does support Exchange OWA...

But use at your own risk ;)

You can also try the Desktop Redirector if you have permission to install software on your office computer.
