Default I have to rant and rave about PocketMac!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Environment:
BB handheld 7100i

Mac OSX 10.4.5
PocketMac 4
Lotus Notes 6.5.3 client for Mac

BES
Domino server (Lotus Notes server)

#####

Is my understanding correct that PocketMac 4 does not sync. Lotus Notes email, only Entourage and Apple Mail? But it does sync. Lotus Notes Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks.

Reference:
discoverblackberry.com/discover/mac_solutions.jsp

Then, what's the point of the software?

#####

Here is my issue, unfortunately I think PocketMac is still in its infancy, and as a result the support is hard to come by. RIM should probably develop their own Macintosh software. I suspect RIM support is cursing to high heavens for having to support this POS software.

Side note: My experience with RIM support is excellent! I thought they would have just given up when 1st tier wasn't having any luck. They are having a senior person look at this. But, I suspect they too are throwing their hands up in the air.

I am only trying to sync. one at a time to test, Calendar, Contacts, or Tasks.

It's appears like it's sync'ing then the error "Failed to start Lotus Notes server." appears.

I've googled, searched blackberry.com's KB, this forum and nothing. One person asked before on here, but no resolution.

Maybe it's me, and not the program, and I don't know what to put in here,

See image:

(Being noob, I can't post url/image to other site, sorry)

Take the "To Do" section for example.

In To Do server, I've put in the BES or Domino server name.

In mail server, I've put in <mymailfilename>.nsf or mail\<mymailfilename>.nsf

I tried different cominbations.

Nothing worked, resulting in the same error.

I'm even scared to go much further, as I've read this software deletes entries without prompting you? That's crazy!

#####

If you know what to do, or what to put in there, please help! I am at my wits end trying to get this thing working.

Default Don't use PocketMac - it will eat your data on both Mac and BB

Please see the thread here "Response from PocketMac" where I went into detail about this bad, bad, bad, piece of software. PocketMac is worse than useless.
