My 8700c whether on the charger or not simply shows a picture of a battery with a diagonal red line through it. Anyone know what's going on?

This could indicate:
1. A defective wall charger
2. A defective usb port on the computer (if use charger is being used)
3. A defected usb port on the device itself.
4. An incompatible wall charger. (you should only use chargers specifically made for the handhelds)

You should try another charger or provide a little more information so that we can help narrow it down for ya. Hope this helps!!
