Default Isolated Handhelds losing email sync

Please Login to Remove!

I've got an issue where isolated handhelds are just "losing" their email sync all of a sudden. We're running an Exchange 2003 SP2 server and the BES is 4.0.

No amount of master radio resets, remove/re-add to BES seems to get them going again. They cant even redo their enterprise activation.

The >one< I finally got working with TSupport was after the 4th remove/re-add it finally reactivated.
Nextel is the phones.

Anyone else have an issue like this? Its driving me crazy

What happens when you try to send a mail from the handheld? It displays a red cross before the (not) send email? If so open the message again and there must be a error stated.

I just had something similar happen to me also this week. I had eight of the 18 users on my BES lose complete data communication (phone was fine). The difference is we use Verizon and not Nextel.

I was able to fix the problem by going to:

Options -> Host Routing Table -> Register Now

I have no idea if this will help your situation or not but this sucked for the last 24hrs trying to fix this.

Where are you located anyhow?
I am in PA.

Red-cross is next to the message, the error is something like "cant save message to desktop". I apologize, I dont have a unit in front of me. The 2 I'm dealing with now are across the country.

It DOES register on the wireless network, data appears to be active. I can even PIN to PIN.

I'm in Dallas, TX

Sounds like a messaging issue (connectivity to the user's mailbox) instead of a wireless/GPRS issue.

Any strange errors (MAPI errors if you are on Exchange) in the MAGT logs?

I've got a ton from the 3 users who cant sync.

They are (from these 3 people, no specific order)
Unable to save configuration settings or statistics.

GetNewDeletedMessages() failed\

MAPIMailbox::GetNewDeletedMessages - GetContentsTable (0x80004005) failed

ConsistencyCheck() failed: ERR_FAIL

CalSyncState::BuildStateRecordMap - GetContentsTable(0x80004005) failed.

MAPIMailbox::Construct - Open Root Folder failed

I'm was/am having the same issue and I'm in Harrisburg. Verizon kept on trying to blame RIM and RIM said "No Way" as I could not even send a pin message. Finally one of my end users called Verizon and they were/are having outages every night. They only admitted that after my end user told them that other Blackberries on other carriers were all working fine.

Are you still having issues? I have not talked to any of my end users this morning but I was still having issues as of Thursday night.
