Default Remote install of Blackberry Manager not working

Please Login to Remove!

I have installed the Blackberry Manager onto two separate terminal servers (so the other techs won't terminal into my BES server and reboot it!).

I followed all instructions, and have it all configured; works fine for me and my admin account.

Other Domain Admins login to the terminal servers and try to open the Blackberry Manager. At first it barks at them about the MAPI profile. I have them set it up with the BES service account, etc... and that works. then when they try to open up BB MGR it says it cannot connect to the database.

I setup the SYSTEM DSN settings within ODBC for the besmgmt DB, and like I said, it works fine for me. Isn't that a global setting? it seems like when others login they are not "seeing" that ODBC setting and therefore are not connecting to the DB on the BES.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Do they have permissions to the database? The installation guide lists what permissions each account will need - rim_db_bes_server, db_owner, and public, I believe.

I just encountered this issue. It is the registry settings for login and password to the sql database - they are not replicated to the "shadow" registry that citrix uses for everyone but you. We had to implement an addition to the login script for those users that added the regkeys in everytime they log into the citrix server session. That did the trick.

To follow up, here is the script and reg file we used here.

regedit /s %windir%\system32\BESDB.reg

BESDB.reg file contains:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Database]
"Login"="besadmin"
"Password"="kebesadmin"
