Yes, that's right. You can only use the BT on a BlackBerry for wireless headsets and to transfer PIM data to a PC. You can not connect it to a Nokia or any other phone and do anything with it.

SO WE CAN USE DESKTOP MANAGER.OR WE CAN USE SIMULATERS TO GO TO A WEBSITE,AND DOWNLOAD PICTURES, BELLS .THEN SEND THEM TO PC.CONNECT WITH REAL BB,GET THEM INTO BB.

What is missing from the Blackberry that prevents it from sending or receiving data from other devices like the Palm or a cell phone?

I thought I heard the palm treo and BB 8100 are compatable, I think that is the BB push email...Can ya email it ta ya' self
