Question Password Keeper, any documentation? Desktop support?

Please Login to Remove!

I've recently migrated from a cell phone + 2-way pager + Palm Pilot to a Blackberry 7130e with BES and I am ecstatic! (although my wife is not so happy with 7x24 connectivity...)

However, one App I used my Palm for was storing passwords (encrypted of course). I have been unable to find any real documentation on the Password Keeper application that came with the OS. It mentions "wireless sync" in the desktop manager, but sync to what??? There is no equivalent application in my Enterprise software (Lotus Notes, yuck) and no apparent desktop application.

With no way to synchronize to somewhere off the Blackberry I am hesitant to use this application and considering getting MiniSafe which has a sync'd desktop App that goes with it. Migrating from Palm to BB was easy precisely *because* I had all my data accessible from Desktop apps...

Does anyone have any hard data on the Password Keeper application or any insights in this area?

Default Password keeper wireless Sync

I am also very interested to find anything out about this preinstalled application called Password Keeper. I have searched high and low but have not been able to find anything. I even looked on the Blackberry development site and could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Thumbs up I gave up on this, bought MiniSafe

I eventually gave up on Password Keeper. It seems to be an incomplete application with no documentation or support whatsoever (not a recipe for success). I did some web research and eventually purchased an app called MiniSafe from Simprit Software. This has been exactly what I needed, has worked flawlessly and has great documentation and support. I highly recommend it.
