We have a BES Server with Exchange 2010, the BES Server is configured with a proxy through a Sophos WS100 web filter device. Since enabling the proxy, everything is working fine, except all users are now unable to view the image content of emails; no matter who the sender.

These messages can be viewed no problem using Outlook on a machine that is using the same proxy.

Things i have tried:

Reboot the Blackberry. Make sure "Enable HTML email" is selected and "Download images automatically" on the handsets. Made sure our IT policy has:

Rich content turned on: True

and

Automatic downloading of inline images turned on: True

And now i've run out of ideas! Can anyone help?!



Just as an addition to this, turning the Proxy off within BES cures the problem.

My BES Universal resource locator is: .*://.*(:\d*)?(/.*)*(\?.*)?
