Installed it and is running quite ok.

Only thing which is not perfect is the SMS threads; all are seem to be related to only one contact. No matter if you address the text message to someone else.

Also all incoming messages are related to one contact.

Even after a battery pull it is not corrected.

i've installed this beta on my storm... its extremely fast compared to my previous 4.7.0.186. listed below is the things that i like most from this beta version...

1. the sms thread is working great
2. the responsiveness of the touchscreen improved a lot
3. i can get ring with vibrate at the same time
4. easy to set the date and time (new scrolling date and time)
5. autofocus is fast
6. once the application memory got too low, the blackberry will listed all 3rd party application to be reviewed. you can actually uninstall it right away..
7. boot time improved (around 30% faster than the 4.7. but the percentage is base on my own experience only... some other people might say a different percentage)
8. battery usage is quite similar to 4.7.0.186
9. the changing menu from lanscape to portrait is fast
9. this beta is stable enough for me at least

i really think that this is the last beta. they will come clean with the official release based on this beta. its stable, its fast.. then what else do u need..

ps: to upgrade to any beta means u r risking ur device and ur warranty. so pls do it carefully. read as much as u can of the related info. its important that u really know what u r doing. and get urself an info of rolling back to the previous version just in case u spoilt the upgrade.. good luck

I've got the 9550 and just updated to v5.0 and the only quirk I keep seeing is that App world keeps disappearing ever so often. I reinstall and am back up and running. weird. So far, I love it. Only hang up of real consternation was the diff with OUtlook sync, but fixed that and we're good.
