Man, this thread is confusing.
I currently have a SBE 4.1.0.40 server with 5 CALs. I support one Blackberry (mine). I purchased the license BEFORE the free BESexpress license cam out.
I dont have any support contract. What is the latest version of BES I can upgrade to without the need to pay a new license fee? Or since I am only supporting a single user, can I just download the latest version of BES express.
TIA

Will my current lic keys work for BES PRO? Is 4.1.4 the latest and greatest? I thought there was a 4.1.6?
BTW, thank you very much for the quick reply.

Yes keys will work, it is an upgrade.
4.1.4 is latest version for Pro
4.1.6 is for Full BES Enterprise

4.1.4 BES PRO does not support HTML yet.
No one knows when an update will happen.

If you are on the BES itself, it's easy.
I'm guessing you are not?

upgrade trial version of BES to licensed
Currently we are running 4.0.6 w 20 users, unfortunately this server was put in place before I was hired and they never purchased a tsupport subscription. They now want to upgrade to 4.1. Is it possible to download the 4.1 trial and use my current 20 user license, srp and srp auth key (once the old bes is shutdown or course!) and make the 4.1 trial licensed?

Sorry you have to pay about 1000.00 US to upgrade it.
Your current SRP is for 4.0 only.

Sorry to dig up an old post, I'm just curious...
Under what circumstances can the CAL's expire? I was under the impression that they are not time-restrictied?

Did you read the posts before and after the one you quoted?
It was talked about it.

I did, infact I've read this thread and others throughout most of today
Sorry if it's that obvious. I'm new to blackberry licencing and still trying to get my head around it. As far as I was concerned, i'd assume an "expiry" as a defined time...
If I'm reading the right posts your refering to, would I be right in saying that they would only "expire" or stop as-such if the licence was abused/gone over limit? I guess that's pretty much a revoke then?
Any clarification on if I'm assuming wrong is appreciated!

TBH it is hard to clarify any more coz, as knotty says, it's all in this thread already!
You can't go over CALs anynore (since 4.0.5 IIRC) and yeah as long as you only use the SRP ID from a single machine at anytime (if you don't RIM lock it), the SRP and CALs will basically last "forever". Consider that there are people still running 3.xxx using CALs that they bought with it years ago. So in your definition there is no expiry, you buy them once and can use them forever.
