We are on BES 3.6
All users' handhelds and desktop software is 3.6 as well.

I just got a warranty replacement that has version 4.0 on the handheld.
Is this a problem?

I need to install the handheld software (already downloaded it) to get brickbreaker on the new BB (it isn't on there for some reason).

Should I upgrade this user's desktop software to v4.0, or leave it at 3.6? We don't have any immediate plans to upgrade the BES - going to leave it at 3.6 for now.

T-mobile's site said I need to install desktop software 4.0 before installing handheld software 4.0 - is this correct? Since everything is hard synched via cable, if I install desktop and handheld software on MY PC in order to update his BB's software, will the BB try to synch up with MY e-mail? I certainly don't want that.

Any help would be appreciated - sorry for all the questions.

Just hide the enterprise activation icon from the ribbon until you do upgrade to BES 4.0 or BES 4.1. You will need to install Desktop Manager 4.0 in order to properly cohabitate with Handheld Software 4.0.

If you even think about upgrading from 3.6 to 4.0 for BES, just wait until later in the year until 4.1 is available.

To answer your last question, if you aren't watching or paying attention, yes.
