It's quite impressive, and does not take much memory and especially battery.. unless u have a really long contact list.. but i noticed that MSN, always disconnects every now and then.. AOL is fine..

This app kills my battery as well overnight. I have a Seido extended battery for my 8700G and it goes from 100% charge to 60% charge overnight. While I expect some battery loss from a IM program this is a little excessive.

Not really a bug, but I noticed:

Connected client(s) via Jive
From main bb screen, the new icon is green(connected).
Go underground(metro), or area where connectivity is lost.
The icon is still green. Shouldn't it auto-disconnect?

Great program!

Thank you!

Would be nice to see my MSN buddie's "Nickname's" that I have tagged within MSN messenger - they appear on JT as 'xxxxxxx@hotmail.com'

Also, I'm one who's experienced big time battery drainage since installing .21 - but love the product nonetheless.

well, it doesn't disconnect from your IM service, since our servers hold those connections open, so when you come back into coverage, you automatically reattach to your session, and any messages that came in while you were out of coverage will get delivered then. the same is true if you're on a call and your phone doesn't support concurrent data and voice.

it might be a good idea to give you some sort of visual cue for when you're out of coverage though, we've been thinking about it a bit here.

I can't even get vibrate to work. Where is that setting?

Check your Profiles for JiveTalk. Works fine for me.

Yes, I finally found that. Every app seems to handle these things differently. Be great to have the option or pointer to this within Jive Talk.

Also a few suggestions while chatting, why do you have to type something before you go to an open text area to enter the text you want to send the user your chatting with? Be great to be able to do that while you see what has been previously typed, and certainly not have to press a char twice (once to get the input box up) and then again to start the first letter of your chat sentence.

Second, would be great to have an option to sort the users by alpha or last login time. I like how Ramble does this and always shows the latest person to login on top of the list.

Lastly, the ability to press 't' when scrolling all your buddies to have it take you back to the top of your list like it does in messages or other areas of the BlackBerry device.

Other than that v.22 is working great for me with AIM, Yahoo, & Google as I just installed today. Will have to play with it more to see what other issues I might find.

Hope it stays FREE!

Just installed v. 0.5.23 and my AIM buddy list isn't logging in at all. My screen name is logged in but nothing is showing up. I tried connecting to Google Talk and Yahoo, those are working fine.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.0.6306/1558; en; U; ssr))

For some reson my aim buddy list does not show up. The only time a buddy shows up on the list is when I get an IM from them. It was working fine yesterday.

It has been working great for me with the battery test build. I had it on all day yesterday and my battery was fine.
